    What is Bee Pollen?

Bee Pollen is a powerhouse of nutrients to energise and nourish your whole body. It is collected by honeybees from the flowers they visit. As bees gather nectar, they also collect pollen, which is then mixed with nectar and enzymes to form small granules.

These granules are a rich and natural source of proteins, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants, making bee pollen one of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet!

Revered for centuries in various cultures for its health benefits, bee pollen is often called "nature's perfect food." Our beekeepers carefully collect the pollen to not harm the livelihood of the bees and the productivity of the colony.

How do I use Bee Pollen?

Incorporating Just Bee's Bee Pollen into your daily routine is easy and versatile. Here’s how you can enjoy its benefits:

    • Smoothies and Shakes: Add a teaspoon of bee pollen to your morning smoothie or shake for an energy-packed start to your day.
    • Yogurt and Oatmeal: Sprinkle bee pollen over your yogurt or oatmeal for a nutritious and crunchy topping.
    • Salads and Desserts: Enhance the flavour and nutrition of your salads or desserts by adding a spoonful of bee pollen.
    • Straight Up: Enjoy bee pollen on its own! Start with a few granules and gradually increase the amount as your body adjusts.

The recommended daily dose of Bee Pollen is 1-2 teaspoons. If you’re new to bee pollen, you may want to start with 1/2 a teaspoon to ensure you don't have any allergic reactions.

    May Alleviate Menopausal Symptoms:

Recent studies and anecdotal evidence suggest that Bee Pollen may help alleviate menopause symptoms, and although these studies are very positive, more research is needed to confirm its effectiveness.

    Potential benefits include:

✔ Hot Flashes & Night Sweats – Some women report fewer and less intense hot flashes after taking bee pollen.
✔ Energy & Fatigue – Bee pollen contains B vitamins and antioxidants, which may help with energy levels.
✔ Mood & Anxiety – It may support mental well-being by reducing stress and improving mood.

Why Are The Bee Pollen Granules Different Colours?

Bee pollen granules come in different colours because they are collected from a variety of flowers, each with its own unique pollen colour. The colour variation is influenced by plant species, region collected and season collected. Since bees gather pollen from multiple sources, a single batch of bee pollen will contain a beautiful mix of colours. Certain batches of bee pollen contain darker, purple pollen granules, which often come from Purple Viper’s-bugloss flowers, or Rockrose, Mustard, and Common Heather plants.

How Do We Ethically Harvest Bee Pollen?

Bees are incredible workers, often producing more pollen than they need to sustain the hive. However, young bees rely on pollen as a crucial source of protein for their growth and development. At Just Bee, we make sure that we only collect the excess pollen, leaving more than enough for the colony to thrive. Responsible beekeepers carefully harvest small amounts at a time, ensuring the bees’ natural rhythm isn’t disrupted. This way, we can enjoy the nutritional benefits of bee pollen while still putting the wellbeing of our buzzing friends first.

    Independent British Company

Just Bee was inspired by Founder Joe's family, who have a long history in beekeeping. Back in 2014, we started with a very simple idea – crafting functional honey products to support specific health needs, while making sure they taste absolutely amazing. This is still true today, and we work with beekeepers and suppliers across the world to source the highest quality ingredients. We take pride in blending all of our products in small batches right here in the UK.

    Free Packet of Seeds!

Since we started in 2014, we have been on a mission to Save the Bees, helping to reverse their loss of habitat. Every order that leaves our hands includes a packet of bee-saving flower seeds, inviting you to join our cause and make a difference too. So far, we have helped plant over 100 million bee friendly flowers across Britain!
