Why don't you only use British honey?

Just Bee is all about creating extremely tasty 'added benefit' Wellness Honey. We do this by sourcing high quality honey and blending it with Vitamins, Botanicals and Flavours. When it comes to sourcing our honey, it is all about it meeting a high specification rather than coming from a certain county. We have worked with British beekeepers in the past and we have worked with beekeepers across the world too.

We do know how important it is to support British bees and beekeepers - this is why each of our products comes with a packet of bee-saving flowers seeds for you to plant in your garden or a local park!

Our Lemon & Ginger flavoured honey is not as thick as our Original flavoured honey -or other honey you may have had in the past. This is due to the ginger puree.

Bees

How are the bees protected during the honey extraction?

This is really important to us; we ensure the highest standards are kept when harvesting honey.  We take out the frames from the supers (top part of the hive where the honey is kept) and then we gently remove any bees with a hive brush.  We then take the frames into our extractor room for spinning (extracting) the honey.  At no point do we harm the bees and we always leave enough honey for the bees to eat.  The bees come first, beekeeper second!

How does your work save bees?

As beekeepers, bees are especially important to us, but they’re important to all of us and the wider ecosystem. Did you know 1 in every 3 mouthfuls of food we all eat depends on pollination my bees? We plant a bee friendly flower for every product we sell. In the last 5 years we’ve helped plant 5.5 million flowers. If you’d like to get your free seeds HERE.
