Our Honey
We source our acacia and manuka honey from a network of carefully selected beekeepers across the world only after it meets our rigorous quality and traceability standards. See Our Ingredients for more info. We then blend our honey with botanicals, vitamins and flavours here in the UK to craft our wellness blends
All of our suppliers are very carefully selected to make sure they meet our strict quality standards and that the bees they look after are being treated well.
To ensure our vitamins and botanicals are evenly distributed, we gently warm the honey for a short, carefully controlled period during blending. Temperature and timing are closely monitored to ensure the honey is never overheated and its natural characteristics are carefully protected.
We are committed to keeping processing as minimal and considered as possible. We independently test our honey in an ISO17025 lab to verify vitamin levels and ensure the claims we make on pack are accurate — so you can feel confident in the quality and integrity of every jar.
In the UK, there is no single legal or universally accepted definition of “raw” or “pasteurised” when it comes to honey, so these terms can sometimes cause confusion.
We do not subject our honey to prolonged high heat treatment. During blending, we gently warm it for a short, carefully controlled period so our vitamins and botanicals can be evenly mixed throughout. Temperature and timing are closely monitored to ensure the honey is never overheated and its natural characteristics are carefully protected.
Because we briefly warm the honey as part of this process, we do not describe it as completely unheated. Our focus is on minimal, careful processing that maintains quality while ensuring consistency and safety. Once blended, every batch is independently tested to verify vitamin levels and ensure the claims we make on pack are accurate.
No, it is not organic.
Just Bee is all about making wellness simple and delicious by blending carefully selected botanicals and vitamins with the finest honey. We use two types of honey in our blends – acacia and manuka. Because acacia and manuka honey aren’t produced in large volumes in the UK, we work with trusted beekeepers in regions where these trees are native and flourish. See Our Honey for more info.
We do know how important it is to support British bees and beekeepers - this is why each of our products comes with a packet of bee-saving flowers seeds for you to plant in your garden or a local park – join us on our mission to help Save the Bees!
Our wellness blends are runny… and they stay runny! This is because we use acacia and manuka honey which are honeys that take much longer to crystalise. Also, some of the active ingredients we blend in to supercharge the honey – the botanicals and extracts - are in liquid form.

Usage and Storage
Our honey has a 12-month best before date and we recommend you store it at room temperature. However we realise most of the time, the honey is gobbled up much quicker!
Honey will naturally crystallise over time. It is still totally fine to eat like this, we promise! But if you'd like your honey runny again, just place the closed pot in a bowl of warm water and stir until runny :-)
We use a ginger puree in this honey which can contain natural darker pieces of ginger.
Our honey has a similar nutritional content to most other honey in terms of sugar and calories. In one teaspoon (8g) of our honey, you get 6 grams of sugar and 25kcals. BUT our honey is special as you also get 50% of your recommended daily allowance of Vitamin D and 25% Vitamins C, B6, B12!
Yes, you can enjoy more than one of our wellness honeys per day. We recommend up to 4 teaspoons daily across our products.
At room temperature — no fridge needed. We'd suggest keeping it next to the kettle so it's always in sight and ready for your morning spoon. The benefits of Just Bee honey build with daily use, so the more visible it is, the easier it is to make it part of your routine. Just avoid direct sunlight or heat sources, and your honey will stay in perfect condition.

Bees
We only work with beekeepers who prioritise the health of their colonies, and who sign up to our Bee Welfare and Ethical Sourcing Standards. This is built around the core principles of: bee welfare first, natural beekeeping and environmental stewardship. Every year we perform an annual audit on site with our suppliers - to ensure these standards are upheld. We believe that good honey starts with healthy bees.
Due to the brand being built on generations of beekeeping heritage, bees are especially important to us. But they should be really important to all of us. Did you know 1 in every 3 mouthfuls of food we all eat depends on pollination my bees? We plant a bee friendly flower for every product we sell. In the last 11 years we’ve helped plant 200 million flowers. If you’d like to get your free seeds here.
Yes, we think more people should get bees, just be sure to get training before you buy the bees and kit. We recommend you speak to your local British beekeepers association branch. You can find contact details on the website: https://www.bbka.org.uk/find-beekeeping-near-you
