Frequently Asked Questions
Thank you for visiting our website. If your question is not listed below, please get in touch with our friendly customer service bees. Email email@example.com
What is vitamin honey?
Unlike normal honey, we blend raw (unpasteurised) wildflower honey with vitamins and echinacea specifically designed to support your immune system. Every teaspoon of our honey has 25% of your recommended daily allowance of Vitamins C, B6 and B12.
What is raw (unpasteurised) honey?
We produce in small batches and keep the temperature of our honey below that of a beehive. This protects the flavour and precious nutrients naturally found in the honey.
What type of vitamins are in your honey?
Vitamins C, B6 and B12, all of which help to support your immune system. We also add in Echinacea, a herbal supplement known for it's immune boosting properties.
Does your honey help with fatigue?
Yes! Honey is a source of energy. Plus our honey is blended with vitamin C, B6, and B12 - these vitamins are proven help reduce fatigue.
Where is your honey from?
We use raw wildflower honey from EU beekeepers. We blend the honey with the other nutrients in the UK.
Our suppliers are very carefully selected to make sure the quality of the honey is of the highest standards and that the bees they look after are being treated well.
Is your honey organic?
No, it is not organic.
What is Manuka honey?
Manuka honey is from New Zealand and the bees have foraged on the Manuka plant or tea tree. It is known to have a lot of enzymes and nutrients. Our honey “raw vitamin honey” - the first of its kind! It is raw European wildflower honey, we add a bunch of extra nutrients to boost the immune system - vitamin c, b6, B12 and echinacea. Our honey has 25% of your recommended daily allowance of all these nutrients in every teaspoon.
Why don't you use British honey?
Just Bee's was created by a family of beekeepers - so we know how important it is to support British beekeepers. Unfortunately British honey is a lot more expensive than EU honey and it would increase the price customers pay by nearly double. We were keen to make our initial vitamin honey product range as accessible to as many people as possible so our current range has EU honey in it. By the way, the quality of our EU honey is as good as British honey, its just travelled a little further.
(It comes down to the good old British weather… there are more sunny days in places like Spain, which means the bees are out foraging on more days in the year. This means that the average EU beekeeper can harvest a lot more honey each year than a British beekeeper. This is the main reason the price of EU honey is lower than British honey.)
However, later this year we hope to extend our range to include some variants including British Honey - so that customers can chose between the two.
Why is the honey runny?
Our Lemon & Ginger flavoured honey is not as thick as our Original flavoured honey -or other honey you may have had in the past. This is due to the ginger puree.
Why are there dark pieces in the lemon and ginger honey?
We use a ginger puree in this honey which can contain natural darker pieces.

What should I do if the honey sets / crystallises?

How are the bees protected during the honey extraction?
This is really important to us; we ensure the highest standards are kept when harvesting honey. We take out the frames from the supers (top part of the hive where the honey is kept) and then we gently remove any bees with a hive brush. We then take the frames into our extractor room for spinning (extracting) the honey. At no point do we harm the bees and we always leave enough honey for the bees to eat. The bees come first, beekeeper second!
How does your work save bees?
As beekeepers, bees are especially important to us, but they’re important to all of us and the wider ecosystem. Did you know 1 in every 3 mouthfuls of food we all eat depends on pollination my bees? We plant a bee friendly flower for every product we sell. In the last 5 years we’ve helped plant 5.5 million flowers.
