Steak bites are one of my favourite ways to enjoy a nice piece of steak. It's also a great way to serve steak to kids as they can sometimes struggle cutting up a large piece of meat to eat; even I find it a bit of a chore sometimes, when I'm hungry all I want to do is tuck in to my food! Our honey garlic steak bites can be served in many different ways, from a simple appetizer to a larger meal with potatoes and vegetables of your choice...
Whoopie pies are a sweet filled sandwich cake or cookie that originated in the United States. I think they fall somewhere in the cake dessert realm and remind me of something similar to a Viennese whirl. They are great with a cuppa - but they also make a fantastic dessert in a bowl with a little pouring cream...
These juicy chicken kebabs are bursting with flavour and have both a delightful honey sweetness and a real kick of zesty tang! The lime pairs perfectly with our sweet honey to create a really tasty and exciting dish from some humble chicken thighs. Our honey lime kebabs can be served as part of a larger barbecue feast or as a simple but delicious meal with some rice, colourful grilled vegetables, or a fresh salad...
On the 1st July it's National Ginger Snap Day in the USA, so if you need an excuse to bake yourself some sweet ginger biscuits, then why not make some to celebrate with our American cousins!
Ginger snaps are said to have originated in Germany and the 'snap' part of the name actually comes from the German word snappen which means to “to seize quickly” and is not a reference to the iconic 'snap' of the biscuit as you might think. In some parts of the world they are made to be quite soft like an American cookie. However in the UK (with our penchant for dunking biscuits in a cuppa!) most people prefer a ginger snap to be quite snappy....
This recipe will help you create a delicious savoury loaf that's perfect for sharing. It's difficult to beat the taste of freshly baked bread but when it's combined with salty feta, sweet honey and fresh herbs it's absolutely divine! If you don't have the time to make the bread yourself, just pop to your nearest supermarket bakery, pick up a fresh bloomer and skip to step 6... we promise we won't tell anyone!...
These delightful and easy to make biscuits contain no refined sugar at all- being sweetened only with our pure honey and enhanced with the natural sweetness of a ripe banana, vanilla extract, and ground almonds. The almonds also add a welcome and pleasing texture to the biscuits which can sometimes be missing when using honey as a sugar replacement in biscuit recipes...
This is a really great, easy recipe to liven up that bag of sweetcorn in the freezer or tin from the cupboard. It can be served with almost anything but I really enjoy it with sausages. It's also something I usually do a big dish of at barbecues and it always goes down better than a traditional leafy side salad. This recipe will be plenty to feed 4-6 people, if you need to feed more, you can double the amounts...
Sometimes simple is best and when you just need a delicious slice of cake to serve with an afternoon cuppa, things like creams, toppings and fillings are not always what's wanted. This perfect and simple honey cake is for those occasions and because of its simplicity the sweet honey flavours really shine through. It uses just a few common ingredients that you might have in the cupboard already. This cake will stay moist and tasty for around 5 days in an airtight container...
Our sticky pork recipe is bursting with flavour and has become a popular teatime treat with everyone in our house. Pork loin steaks are tasty and inexpensive but can be a little bland and unexciting if you just fry them and serve them. This recipe will transform them into something far more interesting and delicious! It's very easy to make too and the other ingredients should be familiar to anyone who's made some of our recipes before, you probably have them in your fridge or cupboard already!...
Here's a quick and easy dessert recipe that's simple to make and absolutely yummy! After all the cooking you've probably doing over the Christmas and New Year holidays, we thought this would be a perfect dessert recipe for these cold January evenings when you need to rustle something up without too much fuss. It uses pre-made puff pastry, a couple of pears that you might have left in your fruit bowl and a couple of tablespoons of honey. Maybe the best thing about this recipe is that it leaves very little mess to clean up afterwards other than the baking tray and a spoon or two...
Have you ever been frustrated with brownie recipes you've tried before? Often they can turn out too dark and bitter or too sweet and sickly. Sometimes they are just too heavy and rich to really enjoy after a meal. Our honey chocolate brownies balance all the recipe elements to create the perfect brownie that is spectacularly delicious, easy to make, and can be whipped up in well under an hour!
These have been tested on many of our friends and family and everyone agrees that they are some of the best brownies they've ever had... seriously. People will be stunned and amazed that you made them yourself!...
Gammon is a meat that many of us will eat as a treat, sometimes from a restaurant menu or cooked at home for a special meal. If you like gammon as much as we do then there's no reason why you shouldn't treat yourself a little more often! A small joint can be bought from the supermarket for around £5 and represents good value compared to pre-cut gammon steaks. There's plenty to feed a family of four as part of a roast dinner with some potatoes and vegetables. Alternatively it's absolutely delicious cut into thick slices and serve with egg and chips. If there's any left over, gammon also makes a fantastic sandwich meat too!...
