Hot Honey Dip Recipe

Looking for a dip that’s sweet, spicy and utterly moreish? This Hot Honey Dip is a real crowd-pleaser—perfect for dunking crispy potato wedges, grilled veggies, chicken bites or even drizzling over cheese boards. It’s wonderfully simple to make and packs a punch of flavour with every spoonful.

Any Just Bee Honey will work beautifully here, but we recommend Turmeric+ Honey. Its gentle spice and golden colour bring extra warmth and depth to the dip, making it ideal for those cosy evenings in or laid-back weekend gatherings.

Sweet, sticky and with just the right amount of heat—this is one to make on repeat.

Ingredients

 (makes approx. ½ cup)

  • 3 tablespoons Just Bee Honey (we love Turmeric+ Honey for a warm, golden kick)
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha or your favourite chilli sauce
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon chilli flakes (optional, for an extra spicy kick)
  • Pinch of sea salt

Method

1. Mix the Ingredients:

In a small bowl or jar, combine the honey, chilli sauce, vinegar or lemon juice, chilli flakes (if using), and a pinch of salt.

2. Warm Gently (Optional):

For a smoother consistency and to help the flavours blend, gently warm the mixture in a small saucepan over low heat for 1–2 minutes. Stir until fully combined—don’t let it boil.

3. Serve:

Pour into a small bowl and serve warm or at room temperature. It will thicken slightly as it cools.

Serving Suggestions

  • Drizzle over crispy halloumi, chicken goujons or roasted cauliflower
  • Serve as a dipping sauce for sweet potato fries or crunchy crudités
  • Stir into cream cheese or Greek yoghurt for a mellow, creamy version
  • Add to your cheese board for a sweet and spicy twist

This Hot Honey Dip is proof that a few simple ingredients can go a long way. It’s bold, balanced and incredibly versatile—and thanks to the natural sweetness of Just Bee Honey, it’s got that feel-good touch too.

A little sweet. A little spicy. And so very moreish. 🍯🌶️
