Honey Sriracha Chicken Recipe

For those evenings when you fancy something with a little more kick, this Honey Sriracha Chicken hits just the right balance of sweet, spicy and savoury. Tender chicken pieces are coated in a sticky glaze made with Just Bee Honey and Sriracha, creating a dish that’s bold in flavour but surprisingly simple to make.

We recommend using Turmeric+ Honey for this recipe—its gentle earthy warmth works beautifully with the heat of the chilli sauce, creating a deeper, more rounded flavour. Of course, any of our Just Bee honeys will give this dish a deliciously natural sweetness.

Perfect served with rice, noodles or even a fresh crunchy salad, this dish is as versatile as it is mouth-watering.

Ingredients

 (serves 2)

  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to season

For the Honey Sriracha Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons Just Bee Honey (we love Turmeric+ Honey for this one)
  • 1½ tablespoons Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • ½ teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional, but lovely for depth)

To garnish (optional):

  • Sliced spring onions
  • Toasted sesame seeds
  • Fresh coriander

Method

1. Prepare the Chicken:

Season the chicken pieces with a little salt and pepper. In a large frying pan or wok, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and cooked through.

2. Make the Sauce:

While the chicken is cooking, combine all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl—Just Bee Honey, Sriracha, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and ginger if using. Stir until well blended.

3. Add the Sauce to the Pan:

Once the chicken is cooked, reduce the heat to low and pour the honey Sriracha sauce over the chicken. Stir well to coat and let it simmer gently for 2–3 minutes. The sauce will thicken slightly and glaze the chicken beautifully.

4. Serve and Garnish:

Serve hot, garnished with sliced spring onions, sesame seeds, or coriander for a fresh finish. Lovely over steamed rice, fluffy couscous, or a tangle of noodles.

This dish is a brilliant way to add a bit of excitement to your weeknight meals—with that irresistible sweet-spicy combination and the natural goodness of Just Bee Honey.

Quick, flavourful and just the right touch of heat—this could easily become a new favourite. 🍯🌶️

  • I started using turmeric and honey and can’t believe the difference. I have Elers Danlos which affects all my joints.
It has made a significant difference and not only less pain I feel energised and have been doing things I had to give up doing years ago. Even my carers have noticed and are going to look you up. Thank you.
